Barsha–Dipanwit Pair Reunites for ‘Etiki Thilaa’

Bhubaneswar: After winning audiences’ hearts with their chemistry in Pratikshya, actors Barsha Patnaik and Dipanwit Dasmohapatra are set to reunite on screen in Amiya Patnaik Productions’ upcoming Odia film Etiki Thilaa.
The announcement has generated excitement among fans, with many describing the reunion as “the same duo, the same magic, but with bigger emotions.”
The reunion of Barsha Patnaik and Dipanwit Dasmohapatra has generated considerable excitement among Odia cinema lovers, as the duo was last seen together in Pratikshya, which won the Best Feature Film in Odia at the 69th National Film Awards. Directed by Anupam Patnaik and produced under the Amiya Patnaik Productions banner, the critically acclaimed film, based on a short story by Gourahari Das, was praised for its sensitive portrayal of a middle-class family’s emotional struggles and father-son relationship. The film also enjoyed commercial success, making the pair’s return in Etiki Thilaa one of the most anticipated collaborations in Odia cinema.
The film was officially launched with a traditional script puja on the auspicious occasion of Bahuda Yatra at the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple in Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar. Continuing its long-standing tradition, Amiya Patnaik Productions sought divine blessings before commencing the project.
Directed by Indradhanu fame Arjun Samanta Ray, Etiki Thilaa is described as an emotionally layered love story. Besides Barsha Patnaik and Dipanwit Dasmohapatra, the film also features Abhishek Panda in a key role. It is being produced by Anupam Patnaik and Barsha Patnaik under the Amiya Patnaik Productions banner.
Music for the film will be composed by Sandeep Panda, while Bishnu Sahoo will handle cinematography. The makers have promised a visually rich and emotionally immersive cinematic experience.
Following the blockbuster success of Mantra Muugdha, Amiya Patnaik Productions continues to expand its slate of Odia films. The banner is also preparing for the release of Dahaan – The Evil Within on September 11, 2026, coinciding with Ganesh Puja.
The makers have announced that principal photography for Etiki Thilaa will begin shortly, with more details about the film’s music, cast and release schedule expected in the coming months.
