On Sunday, noted Odia singer Subash Das and his team opened the cultural evening with soulful renditions of popular Odia songs, setting the tone for a lively and engaging night. Their performance received thunderous applause from spectators, adding to the festive fervour.

Following this, the Hamsufi Band enthralled the audience with an energetic fusion of traditional and contemporary music, creating a vibrant rhythm that resonated across the grounds. Their captivating performance earned loud cheers and appreciation from the crowd.

The evening also showcased the smooth coordination by the district administration, which managed both the fair and cultural programmes efficiently despite the weekend rush. Visitors praised the arrangements, calling it a well-managed and historic evening for this year’s Bali Yatra.

The entire programme was organized by Sharad Advertising Pvt. Ltd., Bhubaneswar, known for its successful cultural event management promoting Odia heritage. The event highlighted a blend of tradition and modernity, giving audiences a refreshing experience.

This year’s Bali Yatra has also introduced a special Youth Experience Zone, featuring attractions such as electronic drums and an anamorphic screen, merging technology and entertainment. To add to the excitement, organizers have planned a laser show on Monday, expected to be a major draw for visitors.

Bali Yatra, one of Odisha’s most celebrated cultural festivals, is being held from November 5 to 12, with a possibility of extension by a day pending government approval. The theme for 2025 is “Ama Bhasa Ama Sahitya” (Our Language, Our Literature) — emphasizing the promotion and preservation of the state’s literary and cultural heritage.
