Bhubaneswar: Filmmaker Ashok Pati and producer Bijay Kumar Kandoi are set to reunite after 15 years for a new Odia film, marking the return of one of the familiar creative collaborations in the Odia film industry.

The upcoming project will be produced under the banner of Vidisha Kraft, headed by Bijay Kumar Kandoi. Announcing the reunion on social media, Vidisha Kraft wrote: “We are back to win your heart after 15 years. Some creative bonds never fade… Reunited after 15 years to bring you something truly special. Stay tuned for more updates.”
The new film, currently being promoted with the hashtag #APBK3, will mark another collaboration between Ashok Pati and Vidisha Kraft after their earlier successful projects.
Ashok Pati had earlier directed Deewana (2010), produced under the Vidisha Kraft banner and starring Anubhav Mohanty and Varsha Priyadarshini. The filmmaker and production house also collaborated on Dosti (2011), featuring Babushaan Mohanty, Sabyasachi Mishra, Priya Choudhury and Megha Ghosh.
Their creative association continued with Kabula Barabula (2017), for which Ashok Pati was associated with the screenplay, while the film was produced by Vidisha Kraft in association with AB Films and starred Anubhav Mohanty and Elina Samantaray.
After a gap of 15 years since their last direct filmmaker-producer collaboration, Ashok Pati and Bijay Kumar Kandoi are now coming together once again with a promise to bring something special for Odia cinema audiences. Details about the film’s cast, title and release are expected to be announced in the coming days.
