Mumbai: Actress Anupriya Goenka says that portraying intense roles on screen has had a strong impact on her mentally and advocates to encourage mental health discussions in our day-to-day life.
Talking about dealing with myriad emotions while shooting a variety of characters, the Tiger Zinda Hai actress elaborates, “I would usually end up feeling heavy since I was doing so many intense roles. However while filming Ashram, I started keeping my energy up on the sets since I was playing a lively character. That’s when I realised that I was holding on to serious emotions to be able to emote during the scenes.”
Anupriya further opens up about how she is in the process of figuring out how to maintain her mental health. “I am very conscious of how I feel mentally at this point in my life. I am not living in denial anymore or sweeping things under the carpet. I have started allowing myself to just live for myself,” revealed the actress.
The Asur 2 actress also emphasises on the positive impact of celebrities opening up about their mental health. She explains, “People listen to celebrities. When they share their personal accounts, the issue becomes more acceptable or relatable. I think it is important to encourage mental health discussions in our day-to-day life.”
