Anupam Patnaik Announces New Odia Film ‘Dassaaha’

Bhubaneswar: Filmmaker Anupam Patnaik, director of the critically acclaimed Odia film Pratikshya, has announced his next project, titled Dassaaha, during a special screening of Pratikshya on Sunday.

Describing the upcoming film as a story rooted in Odisha’s soil, traditions and emotions, Patnaik unveiled the title with the evocative tagline, “Some goodbyes are never final.”

The announcement comes as a special gesture to the audience who embraced Pratikshya, with the filmmaker dedicating the new project to those who connected with his earlier film.

“A new journey begins. A story rooted in our soil, our traditions, our emotions, and the mysteries that lie beyond life and death,” Patnaik said in his announcement, expressing hope that the film would once again touch the hearts of audiences.

“From the world of Pratikshya,” the makers announced, hinting at a creative connection between the two projects. However, further details about the storyline and cast of Dassaaha are yet to be revealed.

The film will be directed by Anupam Patnaik and produced by Barsha Patnaik and Sanghamitra Behera. It is presented by Amiya Patnaik Productions in association with Shubham Cine Productions.
