Amid Unfavorable Reviews, Priyanka’s ‘Citadel’ Is Renewed For Season 2

Even the fiercest of critics can’t deny that Priyanka Chopra & Richard Madden starrer prime video offering Citadel had one of the most extravagant promotions prior to the show’s premiere.

They flew to India and Rome and did everything they could to capitalise on the hype. Not to mention the money they spent on production.

However, as the episodes began to stream, some fans were overjoyed and liked the narrative and just about everything, but another segment of the audience was left completely perplexed by a poor plot and average performance.

Now Citadel has been officially renewed for a second season by Prime Video.

David Weil will serve as showrunner for the second season, while Joe Russo will direct all of the episodes in season two.
