Akhil Akkineni’s spy thriller fails to impress moviegoers

Much anticipated Telugu blockbuster featuring Akhil Akkineni Agent was released in theatres on April 28.

The film, which has Malayalam superstar Mammootty in a prominent role, is slogging at the box office. The movie, which opened to a lukewarm response in theatres, witnessed Akhil deliver an action-packed performance.

Considering the two major releases, Ponniyin Selvan 2 and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, it seems that the film is slogging to get a footfall in theatres. Agent has been made on a budget of nearly Rs 80 crore. After looking at the film’s collection on the first day of the weekend, it is really difficult to predict the future of the movie. As per early estimates, the film earned Rs 2.60 crore on the second day which is miserably poor.
