Actress Vedieka Dutt shares her experience and expectations from her upcoming film ‘Operation Mayfair’

Young Actress Vedieka Dutt has teamed up with Jimmy Shergill for the upcoming film Operation Mayfair, which is being directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sudipto Sarkar. Thethe film stars Vedieka Dutt, Jimmy Shergill, Ankur Bhatia, Hritiqa Chheber, Sneha Singh, Vedant Sarkar and Anjali Sharma.

Vedieka Dutt, who hails from West Bengal, has been acting since the age of 16. Speaking about her journey Vedieka stated “I moved to Mumbai from Kolkata in 2017… I began my career as a model and began doing commercials and in three months, I landed a small cameo in Nandita Das’ ‘Manto’. Later, I did a web series for Sony LIV called Kathmandu Connection, and then went south to do a Telugu film called ‘Gangster Gangaraju’ in 2022. I’ve done over 50 commercials including Amitabh ji, Pooja Hedge, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and Sonu Sood.

The ‘Operation Mayfair’ trailer begins with a female fashion model being murdered in London by a serial killer. Amar Singh, played by Jimmy Shergill, a London Police detective, is assigned to help with the investigation. Amar begins his investigation with no clues or forensic evidence. He wishes to solve the case in his way and requests that the team cooperate and work in his direction. He works on the case and investigates, discovering that the killer is left-handed and receiving a very good clue that leads him to the killer.

Meanwhile, Vedieka shares her story on how she got the role in ‘Operation Mayfair’ “I auditioned for this film several times, and Narayan Sir, with whom I did four or five commercials, recommended me for it. It’s a cop role, and I’ll be regarded as a DCI. Lisa Varma leads a team in search of a serial killer on the loose in this film. I am grateful to Narayan Sir and Sudipto Sir for this opportunity. This was a somewhat challenging role for me.

Helmed by Sudipto Sarkar and produced by Bhushan Kumar, the film Operation Mayfair is slated to release on 24 March 2023.
