A candle march to save the Odia film industry was organized

Bhubaneswar: A candle March was organised by filmmakers in Bhubaneswar Master Canteen Wednesday evening. The candle march was organized to save the Odia film industry from the situation which is currently created in the industry where the personal attack on each other by the film industry people hampering the new releases.

In the march several film fraternity members including Pranay Jethi,  Rahni Ranjan, Bijay Shankar Dash, Prasanna Choudhury, Purna Chandra Behera, Sibir Parida, Tejeswar Rao, Prashant Padhi, Khageswar Jeypuria, and others participated.

Prdoiucver and Media Planner Pranay Jethi said that we want sollution to the problem not more trouble. The current situation will not be helpful for the industry. We hope that this peace march will help to normalise the situation and will help the new to be released movies such as Pratha, My Sweet Housewife etc.

Ollywood industry since last week is fighting an inner battle after actor and producer Manoj Mishra being banned by the producers and The Utkal Cine Chambers of Commerce from the Odia film industry for two years over the allegation that his supporter attempted to stop actor Arindam Roy’s new movie RAM.
