Odia Artist Kirti Maharana’s message Conserve Olive Ridley

Puri: A big and huge art installation of Olive Ridley Turtle was installed at Puri season beach recently which attracts lot of attention from tourists and pilgrims who has come here to take blessings if Lord Jagannath and participate in Rath Yatra

The sculpture installed and created by artist Kirti Kishore Maharana to spread awareness about the olive Ridley Turtle and the threats they are facing in ocean such as plastic pollution, illegal fishing practice etc

The large sculpture was inaugurated recently by Arun Kumar Mishra, former Chief conservator of Forest in the presence of Pratik Seal Chief Channel officer of Zee Sarthak, Ashok Rout, Debasish Patnaik, Biswajit Ranjan Baral, Kartik Nath Tripathy and others.

On the occasion Mishra said The Olive Ridley turtles isbthe pride of our State and country and are symbol of resilience, and through this art installation, we hope to inspire collective action to protect them,” he said.
