Music of much awaited movie ‘Dasama’ launched

Bhubaneswar: The music of much awaited new Odia youth centric musical movie Dasama released at a special event at Hotel Lyfe in Bhubaneswar Monday.

The movie directed by Raja D and presented by D Films Cine Productions and Shradhanjali Entertainment will release in cinema halls across the state on January 18, 2024.

The movie is produced by Deepak Kumar Jena and co-produced by Shraddha Panigrahi. Kaushik Das and Ram Patnaik.

At the music audio launch event actress Anu Choudhury was present as chief guests. In the movie there are nine somgs and actor and superstar star Babushaan Mohanty had sung a song which will make the audience excited.

Other singers who sung the somgs for the movie are Ananya Sritam Nanda, Kuldeep Patnaik, Biraj, Gourav Anand, Ashrita, Soujanya, Sourav, Ashutosh, Sandhyarani, Sandeep Panda, Sailendra and Sanjeev Kumar.

The music direction of this movie is done by not one but seven talented music directors including Gourav Anand, Sandeep Panda, Preet Priya, Subhajit, Binay Rath, Anurag Patnaik and Subrat Behera. This is first time that so many music directors were used for one movie.

The lyrics were written by Siraj Rath, Ranjan, Soumyaranjan Panda, Sandeep Panda. JP, Rajesh Das and Kumarshree Sahoo.

The movie is a nostalgic trip set in school said director Raja. The movie cast includes many new faces alongside talented actor Shailendra Samantaray, Akash Hota, Funny Pratik, Arman Mohanty, Bunty, Jyoti, Nilakshi Patra, Simran, Suman Patnaik, Sushant Das Mohapatra, Santu, Khurda Toka and Rabi Mishra.

Director Raja D said that the movie is a youth centric movie set in a school. The time frame has been set in 2007. It talks about things experienced by youngsters during school days such as friendship, first love, education system of school etc. He added that all the people who were once a students would relate to it.

A promotional song of the movie was also launched sung by Aseema Panda and Anugulia Bunty and composed by Anurah Patnaik.
