Teaser of ‘Madhumallati’ released; a timeless love story unfolds across decades

Bhubaneswar: The teaser of the upcoming Odia film ‘Madhumallati’ has been released, offering audiences a nostalgic journey into the golden era of romance and a love story that survives the test of time.

Set against the charming backdrop of the 1980s, Madhumallati tells the story of two young lovers who find each other, fall deeply in love and create memories that remain alive despite the passage of time. The film explores how some love stories never truly end, instead waiting for the day when two hearts meet again.

From the innocence and warmth of young love to the emotional reunion of the couple in their 60s, Madhumallati promises to celebrate a romance that time could never fade. The teaser gives a glimpse of a story filled with love, music, memories and emotions.

The film is produced by Ashok Kumar Padhy and Braja Kishore Mishra under the banner of Auroshree Films. It features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Mishra, Maheswata Ray, Sanojj Kumar, Bhoomika Dash, Aakash Hota and Prangya Mishra.

Bollywood actor Sanjay Mishra is set to make his Odia film debut with the movie ‘Madhumallati. The actor has shot important portions of the movie at different locations across Bhubaneswar, including the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bus Stand.

Directed by Mrutyunjaya Sahoo, the film’s story, screenplay and dialogues have been penned by Priyabrata Panda. The music is composed by Baidyanath Das, while Ishwar Barik is the director of photography and Manas Kumar Sahoo has handled the editing. The background score is composed by Abhishek Panigrahi.

The lyrics have been written by Dr Nirmal Nayak and Priyabrata Panda, while the songs have been rendered by Trupti Das, Aseema Panda, Antara Chakraborty, Satyajeet Jena, Sanju Mohanty and Chiragdip Panda.
With its retro setting and emotional storyline spanning decades, Madhumallati – Side A marks the beginning of a nostalgic cinematic journey centred on a love that refuses to fade with time.
