‘Raavan’ Teaser Out: Anubhav Mohanty Unleashes Fierce Avatar in Epic Saga of Fate and Reincarnation

Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited official teaser of Odia film RAA’V’AN – Chosen by Fate, Not by Blood was released on Friday, offering audiences a glimpse of superstar Anubhav Mohanty in a powerful, action-packed avatar and hinting at a story revolving around reincarnation, destiny and sacrifice.

Presented by 29 Two Nine Films and S.M. Entertainment, the teaser showcases Anubhav in an intensely commanding role, performing several high-octane fight sequences. Packed with action and dramatic visuals, the teaser introduces a character seemingly shaped by destiny, rage, sacrifice and an extraordinary purpose.

One of the most intriguing elements of the teaser is its apparent focus on reincarnation. The glimpses suggest a connection between lives and destinies, adding a mysterious layer to the narrative and raising questions about the character’s past and his journey in the present.

The teaser presents Anubhav Mohanty and other key characters, including Suryamayee Mohapatra, in different avatars, offering intriguing glimpses that hint at a reincarnation-driven narrative. The makers had earlier given audiences the first glimpse of RAA’V’AN during the Raja Festival through an exclusive theatrical showcase. Recalling the response, the production team said the love, cheers, applause and blessings from audiences across Odisha had remained deeply memorable for them. The official teaser has now been released online for audiences in Odisha and Odia cinema lovers across India and the world.
At the centre of the film is Anubhav Mohanty, returning in what appears to be one of his most physically intense and commanding roles. The teaser puts his action persona firmly in the spotlight, while keeping several aspects of his character and the larger story under wraps.
The film marks an ambitious cinematic venture from writer and producer Jagrati Shukla, whose original story and vision form the foundation of the project. Suvam Mohanty joins as producer, while Sai Kiran Mangaraj directs the film.
The makers have previously introduced several characters from the film, including Anubhav Mohanty as Bheema, Sushmita as Nisha, Suryamayee as Devika, Chittaranjan Tripathy as Ratanlal, Sukumar Tudu as Kapila and Jitendra Ketan Mangaraj as Dimba Kaka.
The film went on floors in October last year and has been generating buzz through its character reveals and promotional campaign. With the teaser now giving audiences a glimpse of its action, larger-than-life canvas and reincarnation angle, RAA’V’AN appears to be aiming for a grand cinematic experience.
