‘Maliput Melodies’ Cleared with U/A Certificate, Eyes September 18 Release
Vishal Patnaik directorial set to bring a musical tale celebrating Odisha's culture and emotions
Bhubaneswar: The makers of the upcoming Odia film ‘Maliput Melodies’ have announced that the film has been awarded a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), clearing the final hurdle before its theatrical release on September 18.
Sharing the news on social media, the production house said, “One step closer to the big screen! ‘Maliput Melodies’ is officially U/A Certified. Get ready to experience a beautiful story in cinemas from 18th September.”
Directed by Vishal Patnaik and produced by Kaushik Das, Maliput Melodies is positioned as a musical drama that blends romance, emotions and Odisha’s rich cultural ethos. The film takes its name from Maliput, a scenic village in the state, and aims to present a heartwarming story rooted in local traditions and relationships.
The screenplay has been written by Sudhakar Patnaik, while Tosh Nanda has composed the music and penned the lyrics. The film is co-produced by Ram Patnaik and Kaustav Das under the banner of Kaustav Dreamworks Studios.
With the censor certification now secured, the makers have intensified the film’s promotional campaign ahead of its September 18 release. Backed by a music-driven narrative and a strong emotional core, Maliput Melodies is expected to be one of the notable Odia releases of the festive season.
