Anubhav Mohanty and Sheetal Patra Pair Up for the First Time in ‘Chhaki Suna’

Bhubaneswar: The makers of the upcoming Odia film Chhaki Suna have added another layer of excitement to the project by unveiling the fresh on-screen pairing of Odia superstar Anubhav Mohanty and actress Sheetal Patra. The duo will be seen sharing screen space for the first time, a development that has generated considerable buzz among moviegoers.

Fans Excited About New Pairing
The announcement has been warmly received by fans, many of whom have taken to social media to express their excitement about seeing the popular actor and the young actress together on the big screen. Industry observers believe the fresh pairing could be one of the film’s major attractions.

Chhaki Suna has already emerged as one of the most talked-about Odia films of the year. The recently released second teaser showcased Anubhav Mohanty at the centre of a complex murder investigation, promising a suspense-filled narrative packed with mystery, deception and unexpected twists.
The makers described the film as a story where “every murder leaves a clue and every game has a winner, but winning might cost you everything,” hinting at a gripping psychological thriller.

The film’s promotions have gathered momentum in recent weeks. Apart from the teaser releases, the makers unveiled the anthem “Ame Balunga Toka,” a recreation of the iconic song from the 2011 blockbuster Balunga Toka. The production team also launched an interactive online game campaign, offering fans a chance to win cash prizes and gifts.

Character posters and first looks of several cast members have also been released, steadily building anticipation ahead of the film’s arrival.

Written and directed by Manas Padhiary, Chhaki Suna features a large ensemble cast including Anubhav Mohanty, Sheetal Patra, Sambhabana Mohanty, Abhishek Panda, Divya Mohanty, Choudhury Jayaprakash Das, Sukumar Tudu, Udit Guru, Jitu Mangaraj and others.

Produced by Naveen Bhandari, Jagrati A. Mohanty, Suvam Mohanty and Suraj Mohnot under the banners of Amara Studios and Two Nine Films, the film is scheduled to release in cinemas on June 12, 2026, during the festive season of Raja festival.

With a fresh lead pairing, a mystery-driven storyline and an extensive promotional campaign, Chhaki Suna continues to strengthen its position as one of the most anticipated Odia releases of Raja 2026.
