Bhubaneswar: A special charity screening of the Odia film AAFAA took centre stage in the city on Tuesday, as JCI Bhubaneswar leveraged cinema to spotlight important social issues.

The screening was held at PVR Cinemas and focused on promoting girl child empowerment, with the film serving as a medium to inspire awareness and meaningful societal change. As part of the initiative, nearly 50 girl students from Kamala Nehru College were invited to watch the film, adding a strong outreach dimension to the event.

The programme gained further prominence with the presence of the film’s producer-director Pritiraj Satapathy and lead actress Naina Dash, who interacted with attendees and appreciated the effort to connect cinema with a social cause.

Speaking on the occasion, JCI Bhubaneswar President Srinivas Subudhy said the screening reflects the organisation’s commitment to using creative platforms like films to raise awareness and inspire positive action in society.

The event witnessed participation from JCI members, guests, and media, making it a meaningful blend of cinema and social responsibility.
