Bhubaneswar: A new chapter in healthcare innovation was added in Bhubaneswar with the launch of “Serena AI”, an advanced artificial intelligence-based solution designed to transform mental health treatment. The initiative, introduced by SSD AI, aims to provide improved care for patients with mental health conditions through AI-driven clinical support.
The launch took place during a press conference held at a private hotel near Master Canteen in the city. With mental health challenges increasing in today’s fast-paced lifestyle, experts highlighted the urgent need for accessible and efficient treatment solutions. Serena AI, built on a large language model framework, is expected to bridge gaps caused by the shortage of mental health professionals and inconsistencies in treatment delivery, particularly in populous countries like India.
Speaking at the event, SSDAI founder and AI engineer Daniel Isaac Ithi and co-founder and psychiatrist Snigdha Pradhan explained the functionality of the new technology. They highlighted features such as AI-assisted prescriptions, data-driven diagnosis, and enhanced clinical decision support systems. According to them, the platform is designed not only to analyze patient data but also to strengthen mental healthcare delivery.
SSD AI stated that the future of medical science will be increasingly data-driven. The core objective of Serena AI is to make mental healthcare services more affordable and accessible to the general public. As the first AI-based mental health solution of its kind in Odisha, the initiative has generated enthusiasm among healthcare professionals and the public alike.
Experts believe that Serena AI could mark a significant milestone, not only for Odisha but also for the mental healthcare landscape across India.
