Bhubaneswar, March 3: A landmark musical tribute celebrating the literary legacy of eminent Odia author Pratibha Ray was presented at Rabindra Mandap on Monday evening.

The 90-minute music video anthology, hosted by Auromira, brought together literature, music and stage performance in a rare cultural confluence.

Curated by Kendriya Sangeet Natak Akademi award winner Susmita Das and award-winning creator Dev Meher, the premiere marked the first large-scale audio-visual and stage adaptation of Dr. Ray’s literary works. The evening featured an album launch, live musical performances, curated screenings and an engaging panel discussion with distinguished guests.

The stage performances were choreographed by noted dancer and choreographer Bidyut Sethi, adding visual depth to the musical interpretations. Vocal performances were rendered by Susmita Das and Adyasha Das.

The anthology features compositions from a diverse group of musicians, each bringing a unique musical language to the project. The featured tracks include Kiye Bujhi Pare Mate composed by Adyasha Das, Amunha Deula composed by Sudeep Prabhu, and Mu Sadhanare composed by Om Prakash Mohanty.

With Pratibha Ray herself present at the event, the evening became a historic moment celebrating her profound literary contributions, particularly her exploration of womanhood and human emotions, now reimagined through music, stage and screen.

The album will be released across digital platforms in the coming weeks, allowing audiences beyond the auditorium to experience the creative tribute to one of Odisha’s most celebrated literary voices.
