Urfi Javed, Shahzad Ali to Headline Herbal Holi Mela in City on March 2

Bhubaneswar: The popular Herbal Holi Mela organised by the Swapna Pati Foundation will be celebrated on March 2 at the Exhibition Ground here, promising a vibrant and eco-friendly celebration of colours.

The foundation has been hosting the unique Herbal Holi event for several years, drawing enthusiastic crowds and prominent faces from the Odia film and television industry.

Each year, noted personalities from the regional entertainment world participate in the festivities, adding glamour to the celebration.

This year’s star attractions will be Indian television actress Urfi Javed and Bollywood singer Shahzad Ali, who are expected to enthral the audience with their presence.

Actress Swapna Pati, the organiser of the mela, urged people to celebrate Holi responsibly and avoid using chemical-based colours that can harm the skin. She emphasised that the Herbal Holi Mela promotes safe and natural alternatives.

“In this Herbal Mela, we will use colours made from turmeric, sandalwood, Multani mitti, beetroot juice and tomato juice. All these products are good for the skin,” she said, highlighting the health benefits of herbal colours.

The event aims to combine entertainment with awareness, encouraging people to celebrate Holi in a skin-friendly and environmentally conscious manner.
