London to Host 5 Star Film Awards 2026, Showcasing Odia Cinema Globally

Bhubaneswar: After dazzling celebrations in Dubai and Singapore, the prestigious 5 Star Film Awards is set for its next grand destination—London on May 24, 2026. The announcement was made by RR Events and Cine Production, the main organiser, in association with the Odisha Society of United Kingdom (OSUK) and the United Kingdom Bengali Convention (UKBC).

“After the grand success in Dubai and Singapore, the Odia film fraternity is ready to shine globally once again! Kudos to RR Events and Cine Production and Ramesh Barik for taking Odia cinema to new heights,” the organisers shared, urging fans to save the date.

The awards, which serve as a global platform for recognising excellence in Odia cinema while promoting the state’s cultural heritage, have previously been major hits. The Dubai edition previously and the recent Singapore gala at Quantum Arena, One World International School, saw a star-studded line-up of Ollywood celebrities including Akash Das Nayak, Sritam Das, Maheswata Ray, Sabyasachi Mishra, Swaraj Barik, Archita Sahu, Bhoomika Dash, Elina Samantaray, Devasis Patra, Riya Dey, Poonam Mishra, and Lipsa Mishra.

Audiences were enthralled by live musical performances from Antara Chakrabarty, Archana Padhi, and Satyajit Pradhan, along with cultural showcases like Odissi dance, classical music, fashion shows, and craft exhibitions, reflecting Odisha’s rich traditions.

Ramesh Barik, Managing Director of RR Events & Cine Production, spearheaded both previous editions, making them a roaring success. With London on the horizon, anticipation is already high for another unforgettable night celebrating Odia cinema on the world stage.
