‘Ananta’ Reaches 50 Days in Theaters, Celebrated with Joy

Bhubaneswar: The Odia film Ananta, based on the timeless short story “Randi Pua Ananta” by legendary writer Fakir Mohan Senapati, has completed 50 successful days in theaters across Odisha, receiving immense love from the audience. To celebrate this achievement, the Ananta team gathered at Swati Cinema for a cake-cutting ceremony Thursday.

Present at the event were actors Sabyasachi Mishra, Tapas Sargharia, actress Suryamayee, music producer Suraj Mahanta, and creative head Pranay Jethi, among others.

The film has won hearts with its authentic Odia storytelling, natural scenic visuals, and particularly the flawless performance of lead actor Sabyasachi Mishra as “Ananta”.

Viewers have also praised the strong direction by Sabyasachi Mohapatra and Kumar C. Dev\.
Ananta was produced by Naveen Bhandari, Suraj Mahanta, and Archita Sahu.

To portray the character of Ananta authentically, Sabyasachi Mishra dedicated significant effort and preparation.

The film also gave actress Jyotirmayee Panda her first opportunity to play a mother on the big screen, alongside other prominent actors like Suryamayee Mohapatra, Kuna Tripathy, and Tapas Sargharia. Many theater artists were also given roles in the film by director Sabyasachi Mohapatra.

This timeless story is expected to leave a lasting impact on society in today’s context. According to the film’s publicity and media head Pranay Jethi, Ananta is likely to run for 100 days in theaters.
