Sivani Sangita and Sailendra Reunite as Suman and Biju in ‘Bara Badhu’
Bhubaneswar:The makers of the upcoming Odia film ‘Bara Badhu’ have unveiled the first look of lead actors Sivani Sangita and Sailendra, introducing them as Suman and Biju. Releasing the poster, the team described the film’s central theme with the line: “Meet Biju & Suman. When opposites find love. One story gets created.”
The first look marks the reunion of the popular on-screen pair, who have previously featured together in several successful Odia films such as Guddu Gangster, Chhi re Nani. Their return has already generated excitement among fans.
Earlier, the makers announced that Bara Badhu will hit cinema halls across Odisha on February 13, aligning with the Valentine’s Day weekend. The release date was officially revealed on Wednesday with the launch of the film’s poster on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti.
Sharing their enthusiasm, the team said, “On this auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, our new journey begins.” The poster hints at a narrative deeply rooted in love, tradition, and emotion, setting the tone for a heartfelt cinematic experience.
The film features a strong ensemble cast including Subhasis Sharma, Sailendra Samantaray, Suryamayee Mohapatra, Sivani Sangita, Jayshree Sarangi, and Hara Rath, among others.
Bara Badhu is produced under the banner of The Useful Garbage Creations, in association with Country Boyz Studios and Sharpline Film Pvt. Ltd., and is presented by Chandra Mani. The film will be released by Prakash Films.
It is directed by Beeswaranjan and produced by Chandra Mani, with Beeswaranjan and Sushil Kumar Mishra serving as co-producers.
The technical team includes Bljitesh Dey as cinematographer, Beeswaranjan handling story, screenplay, and dialogues, music by Gaurav Anand and Bharat–Hitarth, editing by Dipika Kalra, and sound design by Nihar Samal.
With its Valentine’s Day release, Bara Badhu is expected to resonate with audiences by blending romance with the richness of Odia culture and traditions.
