Ollywood singer Sourin Bhatt is in big trouble. The singer may be arrested soon in a sexual harassment case filed by a girl, who claims to be his girlfriend.
The Cuttack Mahila police has formed a team to bring Sourin Bhatt into custody after his bail plea was rejected by the High Court, informed ACP Amitav Mahapatra.
According to the allegations made by the victim, intimacy had developed between her and Sourin after they met in Cuttack in 2015. However, two years later, i.e. in 2017, she got to know Sourin was married.
In her complaint, she alleged that Sourin kept a physical relationship with her forcibly making various kinds of threats. Besides, he has taken over a lakh of rupees from him, alleged the girl.
Earlier, the high Court has rejected his bail plea and has also vacated the interim protection granted to him.
Mohapatra said that they would be locating Bhatt’s whereabouts collect information about him and proceed for his arrest since there are no restrictions now.
It is pertinent to mention here that a case was registered against Bhatt on the basis of a complaint lodged by a woman, a resident of Cuttack City who works in a private bank, at Mahila police station here on June 12.
The woman had accused Bhatt of sexually harassing her with false promises of marriage.
She had alleged that she was cheated, tortured and exploited by the vocalist. Further, she had also alleged that the singer had taken Rs 10 lakh from her.
