Bhubaneswar: After success of their play Sai Shradha Production Trust is now ready to showcase the story of play Nabakalebara to the audience in big screen soon.
The poster of the movie ‘Nabakalebara’ was released Friday and move stars multiple stars of the industry including Jyoti Ranjan Nayak, Sivani Sangita, Sritam das, Kuna Tripathy, Meghna Mishra, Navpreet Arora and others.
Bini Samal producer of the movie said The popularity of the play whicxh was staged at city rabindra mandap and other states of India gives us confidence of turning the play into movie.
The shooting of the movie is presently happening and very soon release date will be declared.
The story of the move is based on book of Shankar Tripathy on one of the most unique and popular events in Puri, Odisha, is known as the Nabakalebara. In the Odia language, it means “receiving new bodies from the deities. The festival is celebrated with much enthusiasm throughout the state of Odisha, especially in Puri, where there is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath. Based on this concept, the author Shankar Tripathy has written the book Nabakalebara in the form of a drama that will inspire you and open your eyes to see how Lord Jagannath’s Nabakalebara event was celebrated for centuries. You will be taken back to times when this happened to narrate what people were thinking at that time and, most importantly, how it changed them as individuals.
The author Shankar Tripathy is well-known for his writings on Indian mythology, traditions, and history. He has written many books on such topics.
