Bhubaneswar: The Odia film industry is gearing up for a grand festive release as ‘Ladhei’, a much-anticipated action-drama, is all set to hit theatres this Diwali. Presented by DRS Enterprises, the film promises a power-packed cinematic experience for audiences looking to add extra sparkle to their festival celebrations.
Directed by renowned filmmaker Ashok Pati and produced by Debashis Pattnaik, Ladhei features a strong, original storyline with high emotional and entertainment value. The film marks the debut of Lohitakshya in the lead role, starring opposite actress Abhilipsa, with both expected to bring fresh energy to the screen.
Ahead of its theatrical release, Ladhei’s audio was officially launched in a grand event held at Hotel The Presidency in Bhubaneswar. Released under the Amara Music’ label, the event saw the presence of key industry personalities including producers Sachikanta Jena, Tutu Nayak, distributor Prashant Behera, and entrepreneur Piyush Mohanty.
Prominent cast and crew members including music directors Gaurav Anand and Somesh Satpathy, dialogue writer Bharadwaj Panda, choreographer Amit, and singers Kuldeep Pattnaik, Antara Chakraborty, and Asima Panda attended the celebration and officially unveiled the audio CD.
The film features four songs, blending romantic, dance, and item numbers. A title track with a dynamic rap segment by Addiction has already generated excitement online.
The music is expected to appeal to both young listeners and family audiences.
The songs are written by noted lyricists Nirmal Nayak, Bapu Goswami and J.P. Wordsmith, and sung by a line-up of popular voices including Swayam Prabhas Padhi, Ananya Sritam Nanda, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and the composers themselves.
While many films rely on tried-and-tested formulas, Ladhei sets itself apart with a bold and unique narrative. Written by Bharadwaj Panda, the film combines action, emotion, and drama in a story rooted in originality. The supporting cast includes well-known names such as Pritiranjan, KK, Smita Choudhury, Manoj Dandapat and Rajlaxmi Dakua.
