Bhubaneswar: Promising a full-fledged horror experience for Odia cinema lovers, the much-anticipated film Mid Night unveiled its music and official trailer on Thursday. Presented by Manu Dwibedi Films, the horror thriller is slated for theatrical release on February 6.
Directed by Manu Dwibedi, who also plays the lead role, Mid Night features the filmmaker in a striking dual role—as both father and son. His intense performance in these contrasting characters is expected to deliver a gripping and thrilling cinematic experience for audiences.
The film includes two songs, among which the haunting track “Mayabini Ei Andhara Rati…” has already captured attention. Written by Dr. Nirmal Nayak and sung by Ollywood’s popular singer Asima Panda, the song stands out for its eerie mood and spine-chilling musical arrangement. Music director Prashant Padhi has crafted the composition to vividly portray the terrifying journey of a restless soul, perfectly complementing the film’s dark theme.
The story of Mid Night has been penned by Anup Dwibedi, with dialogues written by Dr. Rajani Ranjan. Apart from Manu Dwibedi, the film features an ensemble cast including Debu Brahma, Pratibha Panda, Akshaya Bastia, Biren Mishra, Diana, Alia, Priya, Sasmita, and Sudhansubala in important roles.
The technical team includes Suresh Das as assistant director, Ajit Das as cinematographer, Chandrasekhar Mishra as editor, and Bobby Islam as choreographer. Film promotion is being handled by Haraprasad Mahapatra.
With its chilling visuals, haunting music, and intense performances, Mid Night is being positioned as a true horror experience that aims to keep audiences on the edge of their seats when it hits screens next month.
