First Look of Suryamayee Mohapatra and Hara Rath from ‘Bara Badhu’ Unveiled

Bhubaneswar: The makers of the upcoming Odia film Bara Badhu have unveiled yet another intriguing first look, this time featuring Suryamayee Mohapatra and Hara Rath as Juli and Bipina.

Sharing the new poster, the makers wrote, “Introducing Bipina & Juli! He steals loud. She steals smart. Partners in crime.” The quirky tagline hints at a playful and unconventional dynamic between the two characters, adding a fresh layer of intrigue to the film’s narrative.

Earlier, the production team had released the first look of lead actors Sivani Sangita and Sailendra, introducing them as Suman and Biju, with the line: “When opposites find love. One story gets created.” The back-to-back reveals have steadily built curiosity around the film’s characters and storytelling.

The makers have already announced that Bara Badhu will release in cinema halls across Odisha on February 13, perfectly timed for the Valentine’s Day weekend. The release date was officially revealed with the launch of the film’s poster on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, when the team shared, “On this auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, our new journey begins.”

The posters collectively suggest a story rooted in love, emotions, and Odia traditions, while also promising elements of fun and drama.
The film boasts a strong ensemble cast including Subhasis Sharma, Sailendra Samantaray, Suryamayee Mohapatra, Sivani Sangita, Jayshree Sarangi, and Hara Rath, among others.

Bara Badhu is produced under the banner of The Useful Garbage Creations, in association with Country Boyz Studios and Sharpline Film Pvt. Ltd., and is presented by Chandra Mani. The film will be released by Prakash Films.

It is directed by Beeswaranjan and produced by Chandra Mani, with Beeswaranjan and Sushil Kumar Mishra serving as co-producers.

The technical team includes Bljitesh Dey as cinematographer, Beeswaranjan handling story, screenplay and dialogues, music by Gaurav Anand and Bharat–Hitarth, editing by Dipika Kalra, and sound design by Nihar Samal.
With multiple character reveals and a Valentine’s Day release, Bara Badhu is shaping up to be a romantic entertainer that blends love, mischief, and Odia cultural sensibilities.
