Essay Competition for DAV English Medium Students after Watching Odia Film “Ananta

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Director of DAV School Network, Dr. K.C. Satapathy, has issued a circular to screen the Odia film Ananta to 75,000 students from 63 DAV schools across Odisha.

He stated that Ananta is an effort to bring the timeless literature of legendary writer Fakir Mohan Senapati and the rich Odia culture closer to today’s children. After watching the film, students will be required to write about what they learned from it and submit their essays to their respective class teachers, as mentioned in the circular.

From these, the five best essays will be awarded in a grand ceremony in the presence of the Honorable President of India in August. Moreover, every student who participates will receive the Cultural Ambassador Award from the Ananta film team.

This announcement was made during a press meet held at the DAV School campus in Chandrasekharpur. The Ananta film team expressed that this is a rare and joyful moment for them.
