Dharmendra, Bobby Deol, others cheer for Sunny Deol at Gadar 2 premiere

Actor Sunny Deol’s recent release Gadar 2 is setting the box office on fire. The recent premiere of the film in Mumbai on Friday was star-studded, with several well-known personalities coming out to lend support. The highlight of the evening was the arrival of Prakash Kaur, Sunny’s mother and Dharmendra’s first wife, who is otherwise known to stay away from the limelight.

Dharmendra, who is now married to actor and politician Hema Malini, also attended the premiere. However, the former couple didn’t pose together and were seen arriving separately for the big event.

Sunny’s brother Bobby Deol and Bobby’s wife Tanya also attended the premiere. They posed together for the paparazzi. Other celebrities like Jackie Shroff, Aditi Govitrikar, Nana Patekar, Subhash Ghai were also photographed.

Good response at the box office, collection of Rs 40 crore on the first day

The film surpassed Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 which released on the same day and earned around Rs 9.5 crore. A sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Gadar 2 is set in Lahore and features Sunny’s Tara Singh going to Pakistan to rescue her son (played by Utkarsh Sharma).
