Adah Sharma Starrer Surprises With Bumper Opening, Beats Shehzada

Newly released Hindi film The Kerala Story headlined by Adah Sharma, did not carry much pre-release buzz until it got mangled in controversy and eventually became a talking point.

Once more and more people came to know about the movie and watched the trailer, it struck a chord with them.

Still, the trade did not anticipate The Kerala Story to take the bumper start that it has.

As per early estimates, the Sudipto Sen directorial has raked in Rs 7.50 crore to Rs 8 crore on day 1, which is massive considering the star cast and the fact that the movie was relatively unknown until a few days back.

There were signs of a positive start only over the last couple of days as it recorded excellent advance booking numbers.
