Odia film T which depicts the life and travails of the transgender community in Odisha has bagged laurels for itself at the Cannes as well as at India International Film Festival of Boston (IIFFB), USA.
The film T has been released in theatres across Odisha.
Jitesh Parida’s directorial debut is loosely based on the life of Meghna Sahoo, India’s first transgender cab driver, and showcases her life journey, struggles and triumphs. “It is the story of a community that has long been pushed to the sidelines. The movie celebrates their journey while providing them a space to be themselves.
People who watch the movie can understand the agonising ordeals faced by them, feel the pain and become more sensitive towards them,” he said.
The premiere of the critically acclaimed film T will be held on 27th May 2023 Saturday, 11:30 AM at Maharaja Picture Palace, Acharya Vihar. The makers have requested audiences to attend the premiere and help the film industry grow together as a family while also enjoying this film to the fullest.
