‘Aabha’ released in cinema halla across the state
Several shows of the movie went housefull on the first day.
Bhubaneswar: New Odia Movie Aabha release in 18 cinema halls across the state on Friday.
A special premiere show was organised at Swati Cinema hall where stars and makers of the movie were present. Several shows in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Balasore, Jajpur and Berhampur were houseful on first day.
Produced under the banner of Omm Baba Productions, the movie tells the inspirational journey of a differently abled girl. Newcomer Sona Mallik is in the lead, while Anu Chaudhary Kedar Mishra, Sweta Acharya, Biswal Sahu and others plays a key role.
The plot follows the lead character’s journey, shedding light on the societal challenges faced by people with disabilities. The movie is directed by Pallab Roy and produced by Prabir Mahapatra who also wrote the story.The film music is composed by Abhijit Majumdar and cinematography by Chittaranjan Biswal.
The film was shot in Village near Medinipore West Bengal.
Talking to Odia celebrity actress Sona who played the titular role said that the role was very challenging for me and I am thankful to producer and director for giving me this opportunity. The film must be watched by everybody to understand the situation the differently able people face regularly.
Elaborating more about the story, Anu said, “The movie carries a powerful message. It’s not just about the struggles of a differently-abled girl but also about the biases and underestimations these individuals face. Aabha aims to enlighten minds and shift societal perceptions.”
Aabha will not only empower women but also provide a new cinematic experience to viewers, stated director Pallab Roy.
Media Planner Pranay Jethi who is in charge of PR and Marketing of the movie said he hopes that audience will give wholesome love to the movie.
