Explored new things in GoP Season 2: Anupam Patnaik

Bhubaneswar: Director Anupam Patnaik who is busy in post production of the season 2 of his web series Gangs Of Puri said that in the season 2 of the web series they have explored a lot of new things they didn’t try in the first one.

Sharing some BTS photos from the shoot of Gangs of Puri Season 2, Patnaik said ” This season, we’ve explored a lot of new things we didn’t try in the first one. With the teaser in the works and the episodes almost set for final post-production, I want to sincerely thank every single member of our crew for their relentless hard work-day and night-to create something truly spectacular for the Odia film industry.”

Shooting of Season 2 is completed
The series will stream at Kanccha Lannka streaming platform. The Technoartz Production Pvt Limited are the creator of the series.

The shooting of the movie is completed. The show creator Anupam Patnaik said the season 2 will start from where first ended. The cast and crew remains the same with some new important characters. The season 2 will start streaming on March, he said.

The first season starred KK, Aman, Choudhary Jayprakash Das, Rabi Narayan Mishra, Hara Rath, Ankita Mohanty, Soni, Susanta Dashmohapatra, Bhabesh Behera, Namita Bhattacharya, Mamata Manjari Panda, Udit Guru, Rakesh Parida, Pranab Prasanna Rath, Mayank, Anjana Dash, Bhakti, Soumya, Sameek, Umakanta, Niranjan Acharya, Bhavani and others.

In the new season some new cast will join that include Dipanwit Das Mohapatra, Nishant Majithia, Soma Hota, Priyambada and Manmay dey.

The series set in the pilgrimage town of Puri in the 90s, a Bengali hotelier comes to the local MLA Raja Bahinipati with a proposal to set up a new hotel in the fisherman’s village by displacing the locals. But their plan comes to a halt when they find out that the place comes under the local Sahi Crime Lord aka Robinhood of Puri, Babu Jena.

This ignites an age old rivalry and soon a bloody feud breaks out between local gangs of Babu Jena, Nilu, and Loka Nana. The sacred town of Puri soon turns into a battlefield. Among all these local tussles, a regular Puri guy Shiva, accidentally gets involved and rises to prominence as the new Nana. But soon he realizes that to be the Nana (Kingpin) you have to take a Dana (Bullet).

The series is directed by Anupam Patnaik who recently directed Anubhav Mohanty starrer Karma which did well at the boxoffice.
