Bhubaneswar: The Amiya Patnaik Productions women-centric movie ‘Trikanya,’ which released last year on International Women’s Day across the state and was very successful at the box office, will now be released in Singapore on February 22.
Informing about this, makers said, “Trikanya continues its journey. A year since its release, “Trikanya” is still making waves, earning laurels, and igniting conversations on women’s struggles and societal norms.
We’re thrilled to bring a special screening to Singapore Shaw Theatre, Paya Lebar Quarter, on February 22nd. Grateful for the love, the accolades, and the impact this film continues to have.”
Earlier the movie was released in Dublin, Ireland, to celebrate Utkal Divas last year. More than a hundred non-resident Odias attended the event organized by the Odia Society of Ireland (OSI) at the Church of Scientology & Community Centre.
Trikanya comprises three unique narratives, each portraying a different facet of women’s lives. These stories explore themes of companionship, motherhood, and the complexities of marital relationships. Each tale unfolds with its own secrets and revelations, offering a glimpse into the emotional journeys of the women at their core.”
The film directed by Anupam Patnaik and featured a stellar cast, including Barsha Patnaik, Manoj Mishra, Aman, Sradha Panigrahi, Partha Sarathi Ray, Nishanth Majithia, Sukant Rath, Nivy, and Sijan Mohapatra.
After Trikanya Anupam Patnaik’s next movie, Karma, starring Anubhav Mohanty, also did very well at the box office, and the director is ready with the sequel to his superhit series, Gangs of Puri.
