Supriya Nayak Turns ‘Dagaraa Pimpudi’ in New KANKANA Song, Set for September 2 Release

Bhubaneswar: Actress Supriya Nayak is set to set the screen ablaze with a new item number, Dagaraa Pimpudi, from the upcoming Odia film KANKANA.

The makers have announced that the much-awaited song will be released on September 2, 2026.

Building excitement around the release, Supriya shared a high-energy announcement, declaring, “The countdown to the biggest song of 2026 begins. Dagaraa Pimpudi releases on 2nd September 2026. Get ready for the rhythm, the energy and the magic!”
Adding to the anticipation, the actress wrote, “Supriya is now Dagaraa Pimpudi! Brace yourselves, because she is coming to sting!”, hinting at a bold and energetic avatar in the upcoming song.

The track is expected to be the first single from KANKANA, the upcoming film directed by Prithvi Raj Patnaik and produced under the banner of DB Motion Picturez. The makers had earlier released the official promo of the song, giving audiences a glimpse of Supriya in a striking new avatar.
The song has been sung by Aseema Panda, with lyrics by Ranjan Nayak and music composed by Somesh Satpathy.

Apart from Dagaraa Pimpudi, Supriya Nayak will also be seen in another item song in the upcoming film Chakraveer. She was earlier featured in the popular song Punei Jahna from Dotpen.
With two major dance numbers lined up and her latest avatar in KANKANA generating curiosity, Supriya Nayak appears set to add another exciting chapter to her journey in Odia cinema. KANKANA, which explores a world of myth, mystery and supernatural horror rooted in Odisha’s folklore, is scheduled to hit theatres on September 18, 2026.
