KANKANA: First Single Promo Features Supriya Nayak in a Never-Seen-Before Avatar

Bhubaneswar: The makers of KANKANA have unveiled the official promo of the film’s first single, featuring Supriya Nayak in a never-seen-before avatar. Presented by director Prithvi Raj Patnaik and DB Motion Picturez, the promo adds another layer of intrigue to the upcoming Odia horror thriller.

The first single features vocals by popular singer Aseema Panda, with lyrics penned by Ranjan Nayak and music composed by Somesh Satpathy. The promo showcases Supriya Nayak in a distinct and intriguing setting, further building curiosity around her character and the mysterious world of the film.

KANKANA is directed by Prithvi Raj Patnaik and produced by Deepak Kumar Mohapatra and Bhabani Shankar Subudhi. Rudrakanta Singh serves as the cinematographer, while Manas Kumar Sahoo is the editor and Amit Das the art director.

The song promo comes after the makers unveiled the film’s title and a series of first-look character posters featuring Supriya Nayak, Ankita Mohanty, Suryamayee Mohapatra and Choudhury Jayaprakash Das in striking avatars. The first-look teaser was subsequently released, offering a glimpse into the film’s dark and atmospheric world.

Rooted in Odisha’s folklore, KANKANA promises a blend of myth, mystery and supernatural horror. The film is the maiden production of DB Motion Picturez, founded by Deepak Kumar Mohapatra and Bhabani Shankar Subudhi.

Known for films such as Gupchup, Malyagiri and BHAI: The Opening Part, Prithvi Raj Patnaik is venturing into the horror genre with KANKANA, which is scheduled to hit theatres on September 18, 2026.
