Odia Film ‘Sir’ to Get World Television Premiere on Zee Sarthak on September 6

Bhubaneswar: Odia film Sir, starring Samaresh Routray and Avisekh Rath, is set for its World Television Premiere on Zee Sarthak on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
The film will premiere on September 6 at 6:30 pm, exclusively on Zee Sarthak.

Sir follows the inspiring journey of Agani Mohanty, an ideal teacher who considers education not merely a profession but a dedicated public service. The story explores his commitment to his students and his belief in the transformative power of education.

The film, produced under Kamal Cine Productions, stars Samaresh Routray, Avisekh Rath, Arlin Ankita, Dipanwit Das Mohapatra and Ashrumochan Mohanty. It is directed by Keshab Mallick and written and produced by Kamal Lochan Sahoo.

The movie revolves around the relationship between a teacher and two students and presents an emotional tale centred on education, mentorship and the values of an ideal teacher.

Earlier, Amara Music bagged the audio rights of the film.

Sir was released theatrically on November 14, 2025, and will now reach television audiences with its world television premiere on Zee Sarthak.
