Bhubaneswar: The critically acclaimed Odia film Dotpen is all set for its World Television Premiere on Zee Sarthak on Sunday, August 9, at 6:30 pm. The emotional family drama, which won appreciation during its theatrical run, will now reach television audiences across Odisha for the first time.

Cinema often reflects society and human relationships, and Dotpen is one such film that struck a chord with audiences through its powerful storytelling. More than just a family drama, the film explores the journey of love, loss, justice and revenge, leaving viewers with an emotional and suspense-filled narrative.

The story revolves around Badal Tripathy, played by Jyoti Ranjan Nayak, and his beloved younger sister Mita, portrayed by Divya. Badal’s life revolves around his sister until an unexpected tragedy shatters their happy world. The devastating incident forces him onto a path of justice and revenge. During his struggle, Jagu (Rohan Garg), Mita’s husband, becomes a pivotal figure in shaping Badal’s destiny.

The film also features strong performances by Preeti Biswal as Meera, Santu, Shakti Baral as Mamu, and Priyambada as Jagu’s mother.
One of the biggest mysteries surrounding the film is its title, Dotpen.

The significance of the pen itself forms the central suspense of the story, keeping audiences engaged until the climax. Packed with action, emotion and strong family values, the film had earlier impressed viewers in theatres.

For those who missed watching Dotpen on the big screen, Zee Sarthak is offering an opportunity to experience the film from the comfort of their homes.

Inviting viewers to watch the premiere, Rahul Rao, Chief Channel Officer of Zee Sarthak, said the channel remains committed to providing quality entertainment to Odia audiences. He urged families across Odisha to come together and enjoy the world television premiere of Dotpen on Sunday, August 9, at 6:30 pm.
