Zee Sarthak to Premiere New Mega Serial ‘Shrabani’ on July 27

Bhubaneswar: Leading Odia entertainment channel Zee Sarthak is set to launch its much-awaited mega serial ‘Shrabani’ on July 27 at 7:30 pm, promising viewers an emotional family drama centred on love, relationships and the transformative power of compassion.

Continuing its tradition of promoting Odia culture, values and women’s empowerment, Zee Sarthak has introduced Shrabani, a story that revolves around two women from completely different backgrounds whose lives become intertwined.

The serial follows Shrabani, a kind-hearted and courageous young woman from a modest family, and Rajeshwari Devi, the authoritative matriarch of the influential Tripathy family, known for her strict discipline and uncompromising nature.

As Shrabani enters the Tripathy household, the story explores whether her simplicity, kindness and humanity can soften Rajeshwari Devi’s rigid outlook.
Connecting the two women is Sagar, who shares an unshakable bond with his mother while gradually being drawn towards Shrabani’s innocence and sincerity. Against the backdrop of family politics and a heartfelt love story, Shrabani seeks to convey that true strength lies not in power or authority but in selfless love and compassion.

The serial stars Sonali Choudhury in the titular role of Shrabani, Jyoti Ranjan as Sagar, and Neetu Singh as Rajeshwari Devi.
Speaking about the launch, Rahul Rao, Chief Channel Officer of Zee Sarthak, said that Shrabani is more than just a television serial—it is a story of transformation. He said the show portrays how an ordinary young woman wins the hearts of a powerful family through love, kindness and empathy.
