Actor-Politician Akash Das Nayak Makes Singing Debut with Jagannath Devotional Song

Bhubaneswar: After making a mark as a successful actor in the Odia film industry and later earning recognition as a politician, Akash Das Nayak has now added another feather to his cap by making his debut as a singer.

Known for his successful acting career in Ollywood, Akash was inspired by his father, a prominent labour leader, to enter public life and dedicate himself to social service. Having established himself in both cinema and politics, he has now fulfilled a long-cherished dream of lending his voice to a song.
Instead of making his playback singing debut in a film, Akash chose to begin his musical journey with a devotional song dedicated to Lord Jagannath, describing the opportunity as a blessing.

The devotional track, composed and written by noted music director Prem Anand, was released on the occasion of the sacred Rath Yatra festival. The music video has been produced by Akash’s wife, Shubhrajyoti Das Nayak, while Smruti R has directed the project. Akash Das Nayak and Smruti also feature in the music video.

Expressing his gratitude, Akash thanked Siddharth Music Managing Director Siddharth Agrawal for encouraging him to pursue his dream of singing. He said the love, blessings and support of listeners and viewers remain his greatest source of inspiration.
