Anupam Patnaik Praises Young Cast of Mantra Muugdha, Calls Their Performance “Pure Magic”
Film Set for Grand Theatrical Release on May 1, 2026
Bhubaneswar: Director Anupam Patnaik has lauded the young cast of his upcoming Odia film Mantra Muugdha, describing their performances as “pure magic” and expressing confidence in their role in shaping the future of the industry.
In a recent social media post, Patnaik said that even the most complex scenes became effortless with a team of committed actors who brought “heart, soul and madness into every frame.” He singled out actors Sanoj Kumar, Manmay Dey Sarthak Bharadwaj and Dipanwit Das Mohapatra, calling them fearless, hardworking and exceptionally talented.
“These young actors are carrying the future of our industry on their shoulders,” the director noted, adding that audiences will witness their energy and dedication on the big screen. “The madness is real… and so is the magic,” he remarked, building anticipation around the film.
Mantra Muugdha, touted as one of the most ambitious Odia films of the year, blends elements of mystery, romance and the supernatural. The film features a large ensemble cast including Sanoj Kumar, Manmay Dey, Sarthak Bharadwaj, Dipanwit Dasmohapatra, Suryamayee Mohapatra, Bhoomika Dash, Hara Rath, Umakanta Sahoo, Soma Hota, Nishant Majithia, Barsha Patnaik, Choudhury Jayaprakash Das, Akash Rout, Pihu Mohapatra, Ankita Mishra, Jagannath Jagan, Ishani Panda, Sujit Baral, Riten Patnaik and Ashis Rout.
The film is produced by Barsha Patnaik and Anupam Patnaik. Its story has been jointly written by Anupam Patnaik and Roshan Bisoi, while the screenplay is by Rohit Gehlot and Anupam Patnaik. Cinematography has been handled by Deepak Kumar.
The film’s promotional campaign has already generated buzz with the release of its teaser and songs, including the romantic track Love Is Crazy, which has been well received by audiences online.
