‘Ladhei’ set for OTT debut on AAO NXT after theatrical run

Bhubaneswar: After an action-packed theatrical release at the end of last year, the Odia film Ladhei is now heading to digital screens. The makers have announced that the film will premiere worldwide from March 27, exclusively on the streaming platform AAO NXT.

Promoted with the intriguing line “Five fugitives. One restless sea. Love, rebellion & fate collide in a haunting tale…,” the film promises an intense and emotional viewing experience for audiences who missed it in theatres.

The much-anticipated film had earlier hit cinema halls across Odisha on December 31, 2025, positioning itself as a high-voltage year-end release. Titled Ladhei: A Fight Till Death, the movie received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification, paving the way for its theatrical debut.

The makers had teased the release with the tagline, “The battle of a lifetime begins soon,” hinting at a gripping narrative packed with action and emotion.

The story revolves around Leo, a young man caught in a fierce struggle for love and survival. Blending high-octane action with emotional depth, the film generated considerable buzz among fans of Odia cinema during its theatrical run.

Produced by Debashis Pattnaik and presented by DRS Enterprises, the film is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ashok Pati, with the screenplay penned by Bharadwaj Panda. It also marked the big-screen debut of Lohitakshya Pattnaik in the lead role, alongside Abhilipsa.

The ensemble cast includes Pritiranjan, KK, Smita Choudhury, Manoj Dandapat, and Rajlaxmi Dakua, who add depth and energy to the narrative.

With its blend of action, drama, and romance, Ladhei now aims to reach a wider audience through its OTT release, offering viewers another chance to experience the gripping tale from the comfort of their homes.
