Bhubaneswar: In a proud moment for Odisha’s music fraternity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a devotional song by noted Odia singer Dipti Rekha Padhi on social media, praising the spiritual power of devotion to Goddess Durga during the sacred period of Navaratri.

The Prime Minister posted the song “Durgati Naashini Maa”, describing the immense strength found in devotion to the Mother Goddess. He noted that reverence for Devi Maa fills devotees’ hearts with positive energy and inspires faith and hope.

The song, released four years ago, features vocals by Dipti Rekha Padhi, with music composed by Pradeep Das and lyrics penned by Sharat Chandra Mohapatra.
The devotional track celebrates the power of Goddess Durga and invokes blessings of health, prosperity and peace of mind.
Expressing her gratitude, Dipti Rekha Padhi described the moment as emotional and unforgettable. She said it felt like a divine blessing during Navaratri to see the Prime Minister personally share her song with a heartfelt message. Calling it an honour beyond her dreams, she thanked him and said the recognition would remain close to her heart for a lifetime.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also welcomed the gesture and thanked the Prime Minister for honouring Odisha’s art and culture. He said sharing the devotional song had enriched spiritual consciousness and highlighted the power of devotion to Maa Durga. He further extended wishes to people on the sacred occasion and praised the cultural contribution of the Odia music community.
