5 Star Film Awards 2026 to Shine in London, Showcasing Odisha Cinema on Global Stage

Bhubaneswar/London: After successfully hosting the prestigious 5 Star Film Awards at international destinations such as Singapore and Dubai, RR Events and Cine Production is set to create yet another milestone by taking Odisha’s cinema and cultural heritage to London.

The 5 Star Film Awards 2026 will be held in the United Kingdom’s capital on May 24, promising a grand celebration of Odia cinema and art on a global platform.
Led by Ramesh Barik, Producer and Managing Director of RR Events and Cine Production, the London edition aims to go beyond honouring cinematic excellence.

The event will also highlight Odisha’s rich traditions, music, dance and storytelling, presenting them to an international audience and the Indian diaspora in the UK.

Organisers said the awards ceremony will act as a cultural bridge, blending classical and contemporary elements of Odisha’s heritage with modern cinematic celebrations. The evening is expected to be a moment of pride for Odias across the world as the state’s artistic legacy takes centre stage in one of the world’s most iconic cities.

A host of leading Odia film stars, including Akash Das Nayak, Sabyasachi, Archita Sahu, Elina Samantray, Sritam Das, Mahesweta Ray, Amlan Das, Varsha Priyadarsini, Anu Choudhury, Bobby Mishra, Popu Pom Pom and many others, will walk the international red carpet.

The musical segment will feature performances by renowned singers such as Antara Chakraborty, Satyajit Pradhan, Barnali Hota, Susmita Das, Diptirekha Padhi and Anuradha Panigrahi, with electrifying choreography by Biddu, showcasing the musical soul of Odisha with a global appeal.

Adding further prestige, prominent Bengali film personalities including superstar Dev, Ritupurna Sengupta, Imon Chakraborty, Anirban Chakraborty and Abir will also grace the event, symbolising cultural exchange and unity across regional film industries.
