Cuttack: When music meets emotion, it creates magic—and that very magic is set to come alive at the Historic Baliyatra 2025 in Cuttack as Harshdeep Kaur, the celebrated “Sufi Ki Sultana,” takes the stage on November 7. Known for her deeply soulful voice and moving Sufi renditions, Harshdeep’s live performance promises an evening filled with joy, celebration, and heartfelt melodies.

Born on December 16, 1986, Harshdeep Kaur is one of India’s most versatile playback singers, with a career spanning Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Urdu film music. She began her musical journey at the young age of sixteen with her debut Bollywood track “Sajna Mai Haari.” After winning two major music reality shows, she quickly rose to prominence in the Indian music industry.

Over the years, she has collaborated with leading composers like A.R. Rahman, Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, Pritam, Vishal–Shekhar, Salim–Sulaiman, Amit Trivedi, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, creating an enviable repertoire of hits. Her popular tracks include Katiya Karun (Rockstar), Dilbaro (Raazi), Heer (Jab Tak Hai Jaan), Kabira (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani), Jugni Ji (Cocktail), and Zaalima (Raees).

She is also among the few Indian singers to have sung for a Hollywood film — her track “R.I.P.” composed by A.R. Rahman featured in Danny Boyle’s Oscar-nominated film 127 Hours.

As the festive fervour of Baliyatra 2025 continues, the celebrations have already seen energetic performances by Kuldeep Patnaik at the Akshaya Mohanty Stage, and the soulful duo Arpita Choudhury and Jyoti Prakash Ojha at the Baishnav Pani Stage on November 6.

Adding to the glamour, the festival will also feature performances by Bollywood sensation Shreya Ghoshal and other stars from Ollywood, making this year’s Baliyatra one of the most memorable editions ever.
