‘Amabasya Chandra’ Audio Movie Premieres on Amara Kahani This Diwali

Bhubaneswar: Odia literature’s timeless novel Amabasyara Chandra by Barrister Gobinda Das has been transformed into an audio movie by Amara Muzik, blending classic storytelling with modern sound design.

Produced by Naveen Bhandari and directed by Manash Padhiary, the project features an ensemble cast led by Superstar Anubhav Mohanty, who voices Ramesh Kaul. Suryamayee Mohapatra portrays Namita, Shraddha Panigrahi voices Manisha, Nivy plays Miss Nira, and Rakshi Dash serves as the Sutradhar.

Other notable voice artists include Nishant Majithia, Mohan Majithia, RJ KP, RJ Guddi, RJ Pooja, Jitu Sabat, Shakti Baral, Bullet Mohanty, Abakash Mishra, and Master Samas.

Sound recording was done at Swaraj Renuka Studio, Cuttack, and SRM Studio, Bhubaneswar, with Shakti Swaroop Dwibedy handling sound mixing. Publicity design is by Volt X, Manaswini, Piyush, and Ritish Parida, with special thanks to Mrinalini Padhy.

The first two chapters of Amabasyara Chandra are now available on the Amara Kahani YouTube channel, coinciding with Diwali Amavasya.

As part of the festive celebration, Amara Kahani extends warm Diwali wishes to all and invites listeners to immerse themselves in this beautifully voiced adaptation of a literary classic.
