Bhubaneswar: Abhijit Majumdar, the “Melody King” of the Odia music industry and a popular music director in the entertainment world, is widely known for his ability to captivate listeners with his compositions. The man who enchanted everyone with his music is now in a coma.
To pray for his recovery, members of the Odia film industry, including Odisha Film Distribution Syndicate Secretary Sachikanta Jena, producers Sridhar Martha, Jubuli Sundaray, dialogue writer Dr. Rajani Ranjan, producer-director Gadadhar Putti, media planner and creative head Pranaya Jethi, Sritam Das, producer Vivekananda Barik, Sanjay Bhatt, Khageswar Jaypuriya, influencer Prakash Nayak, choreographer Lubun, actress Ankita, Priya Ranjan Mohanty, singers Anshuman Nayak, Antarikhya Nayak, Pradeep, and many other musicians and members of the Ollywood fraternity gathered at Shri Ram Temple to offer group lamp lighting (Samuh Deep Dan).
Abhijit Majumdar, who is battling for his life, is currently in a critical condition and undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. Recently, Odisha’s Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling visited AIIMS to check on his health condition.
To pray for his recovery, the Ollywood family came together, lit lamps, and offered prayers to Lord Shri Ram. Along with many artists, political leaders and ministers also prayed for his well-being. Some even chanted the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra while lighting the lamps.
“The illness of popular music director Abhijit Majumdar, who is a household name in Odisha, has saddened us,” everyone expressed. His fans and people across Odisha are also praying for his speedy recovery. The Ollywood fraternity voiced their heartfelt wishes saying, “May he return to health soon and continue his musical journey.”
