AAO NXT Unveils Trailer of ‘KEREK’, First-Ever Sambalpuri Crime Thriller Anthology

Bhubaneswar: AAO NXT on Monday released the official trailer of its highly anticipated original film ‘KEREK’, marking the debut of AAO NXT Juhar—a special vertical dedicated to the culture and stories of Western Odisha.

Set to stream from 28th August 2025 exclusively on AAO NXT, KEREK is being hailed as the first-ever Sambalpuri crime thriller anthology, bringing together a diverse cast and gripping narratives rooted in the traditions of the region.

The film features an ensemble cast including Chhabila Padhan, Lalit Pujhari, Himanshu Khamari, Pradyumna Sahu, Munia Panigrahi, Sweety, Sonu, Anupriya, Milan, Bhabatosh, Roshan, Rudra, Hara, and Asia.

The screenplay and direction have been helmed by JP, while the project is produced by Kaushik Das under the banner of Kaustav Dreamworks Studios.

Sharing the trailer, the makers said, “Presenting the Official Trailer of KEREK – the first-ever Sambalpuri crime thriller anthology and the grand debut of AAO NXT Juhar.”

Since its launch in 2020, AAO NXT has been at the forefront of premium Odia digital content, delivering popular titles like Club 69, Four, Anthony, Jajabara 2.0, Suka Bhai Ra Sholay, Dasama, and Ghamaghot. Recently, the platform gained attention for streaming its first erotic web series Ayushman Mastram, which is receiving strong viewership.

To celebrate Sambalpuri language, literature, and heritage, AAO NXT recently hosted the “Aao NXT Juhar Meet” in Sambalpur, where the AAO NXT Juhar platform was officially inaugurated by Padma Shri awardee Jitendra Haripal.
